How It Happened
A layup from Leilani Naone-Carter with 9:36 on the clock would open the scoring in the game, but the Ravens wouldn't dent the scoreboard before another 6:42 elapsed on the clock on a Brianna Macauley layup with 2:54 left in the quarter. Over that stretch the host Knights put together a 17-0 run to put the Ravens in a deep hole, as they were doubled-up, 24-12 in the first quarter.
Trailing by 12 going into the 2nd quarter, the Ravens' deficit could still be made up, but after the first 3:40 was played in the quarter, Neumann continued their control of the game, extending their lead to 31-14. In the relatively low-scoring period, Neumann outscored Rosemont 17-9 to take a 41-21 lead into the half.
The Ravens would peck away at Neumann's lead in the 3rd, A trey from Jasmyn Parker would narrow the gap down to single digits, as the Ravens trailed 41-32 with 6:20 on the clock, but that would be the last time the two teams would be that close. Rosemont outscored Neumann 21-16 in the quarter.
The Ravens weren't able to get decidedly closer to the Knights in the final quarter, which ended with Neumann just nicking the Ravens, 19-18.
