Rosemont Offense Struggles in Opening Games

The Basics

How It Happened

Game 1: The Ravens ceded runs in all five innings as the visiting Lancaster Bible College Chargers defeated the Ravens 21-0 in five innings. LBC's Kelsey Collins shut out Rosemont, giving up two walks and no hits for the win.

 

Game 2: The Ravens were credited with five hits, but just couldn't plate a run against the Chargers as Rosemont was defeated 9-0 in the second game of today's doubleheader. The Chargers' Julia D'Arrigo was the winner, ceding five Rosemont hits.

 

Ravens' Top Performers

·         Rosemont hits came from Dani Lelie, Bailey Schulte, Charlie Fillmore, Lora Zubrzycki, and Maggie Miller, all coming in the 2nd game.

·         Charlie Fillmore struck out a pair and Nikki Maurer struck out one in relief in game one.

·         Maggie Miller tossed all five innings in the nightcap, striking out four.

For the Chargers

·         Leadoff batter Julia D'Arrigo and Samantha Denson each raked five hits combined in the twin-bill.

·         Courtney Koser went 3-for-3 in game one, and led LBC with four RBI's in the game

·         Kelsey Collins was the winner of the first game, shutting out the Ravens, giving up no hits and striking out five.

·         Julia D'Arrigo also twirled a shutout in game two, giving up five hits and striking out three.

Up Next

Rosemont will open their CSAC schedule on Monday, 3/21, when they will host the Mighty Macs of Immaculata at 5:00pm, weather permitting.
