Ravens’ Offense Limited by Aggies

The Basics

How It Happened

The Delaware Valley Aggies opened up the game with a goal after only 42 seconds elapsed. The Aggies made the score 2-0 with 12:35 remaining in the quarter, but the Ravens responded with Ralph Ibezim's 12th goal of the season to sneak the Ravens back to within a goal, trailing 2-1 with 9:22 left in the quarter. With 45 seconds remaining, DelVal would score their third goal to take a 3-1 lead at the end of the quarter.

 

The Aggies would add four more goals to start the 2nd quarter, making it a five-goal streak that put Rosemont behind by a 7-1 score with 9:05 left in the half. A goal from Zach Bowe (6th of the season) with 8:10 left in the half would stop the Aggies' momentum for the time being. No more goals were scored for the rest of the quarter as the Ravens would go into the half trailing by five goals, 7-2.

 

The Aggies put the game away in the 3rd quarter, outscoring the Ravens 6-0 to take a 13-2 lead going into the 4th quarter. Delaware Valley would add two more goals to make it eight straight before the Ravens' Remington Walker (from Stephen Licata) would score his first goal of the season with 14 seconds remaining on the clock to end the scoring for the afternoon.

 

Ravens' Top Performers

·         Zach Bowe scored a goal and won 7-of-16 faceoffs.

·         Ralph Ibezim and Remington Walker each scored a Ravens goal.

·         Josh Chiappetta was credited with four ground balls to lead the Ravens.

·         Cassius Christie played 58:17 in front of goal, saving nine of 23 Aggie shots-on-goal.

For the Aggies

·         Chris Coyle scored five goals to lead all scorers in the game.

·         Austin Sensenig earned seven points with a hat trick and four assists. He won 13-of-20 faceoffs.

·         PJ Rafferty had two goals and two assists for four points.

·         Jon Fogarty earned the win in goal, stopping 14 of 17 Rosemont shots-on-goal.
