Ravens Drop Home Opener to Rutgers-Camden

How It Happened
  • Rutgers-Camden opened the game with three goals from Natalie DeCarlo in the first three minutes to take early control, but Rosemont bounced back with two goals from Jennifer South to put Rosemont behind by only one goal, 3-2 midway through the first half. The Scarlet Raptors erupted for eight straight goals in the final 13:21 of the first half to take a 11-2 lead into halftime.
  • A ninth straight goal from Rutgers-Camden put the visitors in front 12-2 with 28:12 left in the game, but Rosemont responded with another goal from Jennifer South 3 minutes later. The Ravens got two more goals in the 2nd half, with Victoria Kasper netting her 2nd of the season and Melissa Lynch scoring her first of her career.

Ravens' Top Performers
  • Jennifer South again led the Ravens with three goals on five shots. All of her shots-on-goal resulted in goals. She was also credited with 3 ground balls a caused turnover and a couple of draw controls. South leads the Ravens with eight goals this season.
  • Singles from Melissa Lynch and Victoria Kasper were the other scores from the Rosemont line-up. Kasper also had an assist to total two points for the night.
  • Andrea Dossantos had a solid game on defense with four ground balls and three caused turnovers.
