How It Happened

• The Ravens dented the scoreboard first tonight when Zach Bowe scored at the 9:42 mark of the first to give the Ravens the lead. 2:32 later, the Devils of FDU-Florham would tie the score. Neither team found the goal for the next 3:26 until Ralph Ibezim hit for Rosemont to put the visiting side up 2-1. Stephen Licata made it 3-1, 1:33 later to put the Ravens in front by two with 2:11 on the clock, and would be the final score of the first quarter.

• Fifty-one seconds into the 2^nd frame, FDU-Florham would whittle the Rosemont lead down to one goal, but the Ravens answered when Ben Koszelak scored at the 13:00 mark to keep the Ravens ahead by a couple, 4-2. The home Devils started to find their scoring touch, however, knocking home the next three straight goals to take their first lead of the game, 5-4, with 1:52 remaining in the half. Ralph Ibezim would score a goal for the Ravens with 1:24 left in the half, but the Devils would match that with a clutch goal of their own with only 18 seconds left in the half, which ended with the Ravens trailing, 6-5.

• FDU-Florham would expand their lead to three goals, taking a 9-6 lead with 3:22 left in the 3^rd quarter. The Ravens were outscored 3-1 in the quarter, with Rosemont's goal coming from Ibezim with 6:32 left in the 3rd. The final quarter opened with a Ralph Ibezim goal with 12:36 on the clock to move the Ravens back to within two goals with plenty of time remaining (11 minutes). The two teams would trade goals, and after a Rasool Smith score with just under 10 minutes left, the Ravens only trailed by two.

• At the business end of the final quarter, the Devils made the Ravens pay for several penalties, scoring the final three goals of the contest (two on man-up opportunities). The Rosemont penalties made it difficult for the Ravens to mount an offensive attack as the clock wound down in the contest.

• Ralph Ibezim led the Ravens with four goals and an assist for five points. He was also credited with four ground balls.
• Zach Bowe had a goal and nine ground balls, winning 12 of 21 faceoffs.
