CLARKS SUMMIT, Pa. - The Rosemont Ravens softball team (2-26, 2-18 CSAC) were outscored by the host Summit University Defenders (12-26, 7-13 CSAC) on a chilly afternoon in Northeast Pennsylvania today by scores of 12-3 (5 innings) and 12-0 (5 innings).

Game 1

The Ravens got the scoring started in their half of the first when Charlie Fillmore doubled home Bailey Schulte to take the 1-0 lead. The bottom of the same inning was a big one for Summit, however, as the Defenders plated six runs in their half of the first.

Trailing 7-1, the Ravens put another run on the board in their half of the third when Brianna Macauley singled to score Bailey Schulte for her second run scored in the game. Down 8-2 in the top of the fourth the Ravens scored their final run of the game when Ciani Fleming hit for a sacrifice and an RBI to score Darby O'Rourke.

Ahead 8-3 going into the bottom of the 5th inning, the Defenders scored four runs with the final three coming off of a three run home run from Summit's Allison Glennon to take the game, 12-3. Glennon also earned the win for the Defenders.

Game 2

The Ravens had trouble getting their offense untracked in the nightcap, while Summit put curvy numbers on the scoreboard in all four of their innings at bat to run away with a 12-0 win in five innings.
