Ravens Fight But Fall In Final Minutes

How It Happened

The Ravens did not take too kindly to the early start time this morning, as they fell behind in the 12th minute on a goal from Gwynedd Mercy's Danny Saba. Rosemont would then find their footing and an equalizer in the 21st minute on an Emre Kasik goal. It was his fourth of the season. The remaining 24 minutes played out to a 1-1 draw at halftime. The Ravens outshot the Griffins in the half 7-5.

In half number two Gwynedd Mercy found their stride as they carried the play, outshooting Rosemont 4-1. It appeared that the two sides were destined for overtime on this day, but that would not be the case. The Griffins wrestled the match away from the Ravens at the 86:19 mark when Tim Dailey fed a ball to Cole Smith who slid one into the net. From there Gwynedd would see out the final 3:41 for a 2-1 win.   

Ravens' Top Performers
·        Emre Kasik led Rosemont with two shots (both on goal) and scored the lone goal.
·        Sean Borden added three shots (one on goal).
·        Keeper Zach Bowe made four saves.

For the Griffins
·        Danny Saba and Cole Smith both had one shot on goal, each scoring.
