Bowe’s Four Goals Not Enough To Overcome Mighty Macs

How It Happened
The visiting Rosemont Ravens opened up the scoring this afternoon at Immaculata University only 1:57 into the contest when Purnell Summers finished off his seventh goal of the season unassisted. Tyler Black answered back for the Mighty Macs on the man-up to level things at 1-1. With 2:11 to play in the first Jake Kemble buried one, to put the home side up 2-1 after one.

Period number two saw Doug Hughes put one home with only 36 seconds gone, making it 3-1 Immaculata. Rosemont closed the gap to within one, when Zach Bowe stuck his eighth of the year behind goalie Denton States pulling the Ravens to 3-2. The Mighty Macs picked up the four in a row upping their lead to 7-2 with 6:53 left in the half. Bowe then cashed in on the man-up off a feed from Brandon Krausse cutting the lead down to 7-3. In the final minute however, Immaculata added one more when Mike Reardon beat Cassius Christie, making the score 8-3 at halftime.

The third quarter saw each team hit the net once. First, Hughes stashed one home. He was then followed about a minute and half later when Bowe picked up his hat trick goal. After three it was 9-4 Mighty Macs.

In the final frame, Immaculata would see Hughes score two more in a 3:39-span bumping the edge up to, 11-4. The Ravens picked up the final two goals of the game as Bowe tickled the twine for the fourth time on the day and Tyler Ferrara picked up his ninth on the season. When the final horn sounded it was the Mighty Macs who left the home turf victorious 11-6.
