How It Happened
It took the Ravens a little time before they were able to find their legs after the long drive from the "Main Line" to Scranton, and only 6:47 into the contest Marywood had a 3-0 lead. With a little more than half of the first gone
Purnell Summers got the visitors on the board making it 3-1. Matt Casto scored two consecutive goals before the end of the quarter to put the Pacers up 5-1 after 15 minutes of play.
The second opened up at the 1:11 mark when Summers hit the net again to pull the Ravens to 5-2. Casto would then bury his third of the day upping the lead to 6-2 with 11:01 to go.
Ben Koszelak picked up his first of the day with 9:11 left and his second with 1:52 left. Rob Maini added one for the home side between the Koszelak pair, and heading to the halftime break Marywood held a 7-4 edge.
Rosemont was determined out of the break to not go down quietly, as Koszelak completed his hat trick 6:26 into the third cutting it to 7-5. The Pacers then opened the game up, as they embarked on a 4-0 run, to make it 11-5. The Ravens got one back when
Anthony Bottoms hit the net with 66 seconds to play cutting the deficit to 11-6 at the end of three.
The final stanza saw Luke Shedler push the home team up 12-6 at the 1:03 mark.
Tyler Ferrara continued his good scoring touch as he slipped one by Pacers keeper Chris Favale with 10:03 left. Marywood ended their scoring on the day with a man-up marker from Maini six minutes into the fourth. Summers and
Zach Bowe each tickled the twine once in the final five minutes. Rosemont fought hard the rest of the contest, but were unable to come all the way back and fell to the Pacers 13-10.
