How It Happened

Game 1 – Immaculata 7, Rosemont 0

The Ravens were shut down by the Mighty Macs' hurler Jessica Bormann this afternoon. Three Rosemont batters reached base on singles (Kaileigh Whalen, Autumn Sharkey, and Lena Buccigrossi), but the Ravens couldn't string them together to get on the scoreboard. Bormann struck out eight and didn't walk any Ravens. Autumn Sharkey was in the circle for the Ravens. She went six innings, giving up five earned runs. She showed good control, striking out six Mighty Macs and walking none.

Sharkey was able to limit the damage over her six innings on the rubber, but Immaculata chipped away with a run in the first, two in the second, another in the fourth, and three in the fifth.

Game 2 – Immaculata 8, Rosemont 0 (5 innings)

In the nightcap, the Ravens managed a couple of hits against Immaculata's pitcher, Michaela Petito. Fillmore reached, and Sharkey had a two-bagger, but they were the only base runners for the Ravens in the contest.

The Mighty Macs scored in pairs, with a couple in the first, second, fourth, and fifth innings.

Petito was strong, striking out six Ravens and not walking anyone. Rosemont hurler Charli Fillmore struck out one, and also didn't give up any bases on balls. She was charged with five earned runs out of the eight Immaculata runs scored.
