CLARKS SUMMIT, Pa. – The method may have been ugly. But the result continues to be beautiful for the Rosemont Men's Basketball team.
The Ravens extended their winning streak to five, scratching through some shooting woes from the 3-point line during a 62-47 win over Clarks Summit University Monday night in a Colonial States Athletic Conference contest in Northeast Pennsylvania.
That's five straight wins for the Ravens, who improved to 12-5 overall and 8-3 within the CSAC to remain in a third place tie with Neumann. (Neumann beat Cabrini on Monday night in a battle of CSAC heavyweights in Aston.)
Clarks Summit remained winless on the league season, falling to 0-10 in the CSAC and 1-16 overall. It was the Defenders 16
th straight loss.
Still, Clarks Summit made life difficult on the Ravens. They held Rosemont to just 1-for-13 from beyond the 3-point line. For the season, Rosemont was shooting 32 percent from beyond the arc coming into Monday night.
However, the Ravens were able to force the Defenders into poor shot selections and a 17-for-45 (37.8 percent) shooting percentage from the floor.
Mekhi Clemons lead the Ravens with 14 points on 6-of-12 shooting from the floor. Clemons also added three rebounds and three steals.
Jalil Myers had 12 points with eight rebounds on the night.
Rosemont returns home on Wednesday night for a critical matchup against CSAC leader Gwynedd-Mercy. Game time for the single game at Alumnae Hall is 7 p.m.
