SCRANTON, Pa -- There's something with riding buses, eating at fast food restaurants and wearing visiting uniforms that seems to be agreeing right now with the Rosemont men's basketball team.
Good teams win on the road. Great teams make it a season long habit. And the Ravens continued to throw up some strong results away from Alumnae Hall, improving to 9-2 away from the Main Line with a 82-60 cruising victory over Marywood University on Saturday afternoon in Northeastern Pennsylvania.
That's five wins straight away from Rosemont for the Ravens, who improved to 13-6 overall and 9-4 in the Colonial States Athletic Conference to keep on the heels of Neumann for third place within the conference standings. The two road losses that the Ravens have experienced this year have been a seven-point loss at Neumann on the opening night of league play and a four-point loss at Gwynedd-Mercy in mid-December. Since the New Year, the Ravens are 4-0 on the road.
This day was highlighted by dominating performances from two of the Ravens standouts- senior guard
Mekhi Clemons and junior center
Jalil Myers. After struggling nt the scoring column for the past four games, Myers scored 23 points and grabbed eight rebounds. Clemons - who has averaged 15.7 points per game this season- added  21 with five assists and three steals.
The Ravens were also able to seal the game away at the foul line, going 28-for-32 (87.5 percent) from the charity stripe that allowed them to pull away late.
Rosemont is back in action again on Wednesday when they travel to Immaculata to face the Mighty Macs. They are back at Alumnae Hall on Saturday for the CSAC/CUNY Challenge game against Baruch College.
