ROSEMONT, Pa. - An early goal from
Will Boehmer gave Rosemont a lead. But in the end, Keystone College used a second half surge to earn a 5-1 win over the Ravens on Wednesday night at the Ravens Athletic Complex.
Rosemont (3-13, 1-4 CSAC) grabbed the early lead on a nifty corner kick from
Sal Turelli, who kicked one to the right post where Boehmer- the sophomore from Downingtown, PA- knocked it home past a sprawling Erick Gomez for a 1-0 lead at the 10 minute mark.
But Keystone showed why it is one of the best teams in the CSAC in the second half. They took advantage of a mistake to even the game at 1 in the 49th minute when an errant shot hit a Rosemont player in front and deflected into the back left corner of the net. Dan Zuniga would take care of the rest, scoring the next three goals in a span of four minutes past the 75th minute to give the Giants the win.
After the game, the Rosemont soccer family gathered for a ceremony that celebrated the two seniors on the 2018 roster- Turelli, the three-year performer from Toms River, N,J.- and
Kareem Devenish, who has played two years at forward for Rosemont.
Rosemont will return to CSAC action next Tuesday with its final game at the Ravens Athletic Complex against Clarks Summit.
