NEW YORK- After a solid defensive first half that saw it weather a storm of Staten Island shots, Rosemont's women's soccer team couldn't hold the line during a 5-0 loss to the College of Staten Island Monday in a non-conference contest at the CSI soccer complex.
Samantha LaValle and Nermina Bracic both scored two goals in the win for the Dolphins, who are about to enter the CUNY Conference playoffs with a 10-6 record overall.
The Ravens received another strong effort in net from
Emma Lindsay, who made 12 saves on the afternoon against the CSI offensive attack. On the flip side, Rosemont had trouble generating much on the offensive end with only two shots.
Rosemont (4-11) will return home on Thursday afternoon for the CSAC regular season finale against Bryn Athyn. That game will determine if the Ravens enter next Monday's CSAC playoffs as the fifth or sixth seed in the tournament.
