ROSEMONT, Pa. - On the opening night of the Colonial States Athletic Conference schedule, the Rosemont women's basketball team showed why many believe they have the tools necessary to win the new-look CSAC.
Three different Ravens scored in double figures as the Ravens shot 82 percent from the floor in the first half and never looked back during an 83-45 win over Notre Dame (Md.) Wednesday night before a packed house at Alumnae Hall.
TURNING POINT:
The first quarter run that the Ravens had was perhaps their best 10 minutes of the season.. They shot 14 of 17 from the floor in that session, passing the ball effectively inside to open scoring chances for
Ashley Murray,
Ayanna Thompson and
Ke'alohilani Naone-Carter. By the time the quarter ended, Rosemont had a 33-17 lead and was well on its way to a victory.
FROM THE BOXSCORE:
- Murray had 25 points and eight rebounds on the night. It is the second time this season that Murray has gone for more than 20. She had 30 points against Bridgewater (Va.) on Nov. 16. Murray also added eight assists to the boxscore.
- Naone-Carter had 14 points- the most she's had since a season opening win over Penn State-Brandywine on Nov. 10. She added nine rebounds and four assists.
-Thompson had 11Â points, two rebounds and hit on 3 of her 4 attempts from beyond the 3-point line.

Shirle Brown had eight assists and 11 rebounds on the night.
- For Notre Dame, Jaya Green, Justine Mundiay and Vanessa Dunn all had nine points on the evening.
