ASTON, Pa. - The end is never fun. It is never easy. It never fails to sting and linger.
But when the end comes in such a tough manner like it did on Monday night for the Rosemont women's basketball team in the first round of the Colonial States Athletic Conference quarterfinals, the pain is particularly jolting.
The Ravens saw a late lead slip out of their hands and fell to Neumann on Monday night by a 99-98 score in overtime in Delaware County.
Rosemont saw its second best season in school history end with a 15-11 mark and a third playoff appearance in the past four years. Still, this is going to hurt for a while.
The Ravens had a 10-point lead late in the fourth, but couldn't find a way to stop Minika Glenn. The Knights leading scorer had 33 points on the night and lead the charge back to force overtime.
In overtime, the game went on the see-saw before Nafisa Saunders scored with two seconds left to put the Knights up by one. A last second shot by Rosemont fell short of the mark and a win.
Jasmyn Parker and Lohi Naone-Carter each lead the Ravens with 19 points on the night- two of six Rosemont players that scored double figures.
