ROSEMONT, Pa. - Just being home after over a nomadic month had to feel good on Sunday for Rosemont's softball team.
That's about where the good feelings, however, ended for the Ravens on a sunny, breezy and cool afternoon at the Ravens Sports Complex.
Centenary produced 27 runs and 35 hits on Sunday afternoon while the Ravens bats couldn't muster big hits when they needed it in dropping a doubleheader to the Cyclones by scores of 15-3 and 12-3 in Colonial States Athletic Conference play.
The Rosemont losing streak has reached six after winning six in a row - all six of those losses have now come within the CSAC as well.
The Ravens scored all three of their Game 1 runs in the first inning, rallying to tie the Cyclones. But after that first frame, they were only able to manage six hits the rest of that contest and really never mounted any serious offense threat.
The middle of the Centenary lineup was damaging- namely Carolyn Clites and Jessica Hewitt. Those two combined to go 9-for-13 for the doubleheader with nine RBIs.
Rosemont was lead by Lena Buccigrossi's three RBIs in the doubleheader.
There's no time for Rosemont to sulk. They have a doubleheader on Tuesday at home against Gwynedd-Mercy in a contest starting at 3 p.m.
