SWARTHMORE, Pa. -- There are just some times when you have to take your hat off to an opponent.
In Friday's season opener for the Rosemont men's soccer team, it was Joseph Fala who ended up being the difference as Ramapo College defeated the Ravens by a 3-1 score at Swarthmore College.
Fala scored all three goals- including two within an 11-minute stretch at the start of the second half- to break the game wide open.
FOR STARTERS: Rosemont's first goal of the season came off the foot of senior
Sal Turelli, who scored off a free kick in the 61st minute to get the Ravens on the board. Turelli had one of only two Ravens shots on goals for the afternoon.
STANDOUT PERFORMANCE: Ravens goaltender
Grant Gonzalez made five saves along the way for Rosemont.Â
WHAT'S NEXT?: Rosemont returns to Swarthmore on Saturday night for a 7 p.m. game against Methodist College. They will open up their home schedule on Wednesday against Stockton College- the first of two straight at the Ravens Athletic Complex.
