Ethan Russ scored the Phoenix's goal on a penalty shot after Rosemont goaltender Grant Gonzalez was given a yellow card for making contact with Russ while he was making a play on a cross across the box. Russ would rip the ball into the right side of the net for what turned into the only tally of the game.
Offensively, the Ravens had some chances in this one, but couldn't solve the riddle on how to get the ball past Dan Perry in net.
Wilson's recorded its first win in conference play as a member of the CSAC, having joined this year. The Phoenix are 1-0.
Rosemont fell to 3-7 overall and saw its league mark evened at 1-1. The Ravens will be back in action on Wednesday night when they host Immaculata in a non-conference matchup at the Ravens Athletic Complex.
