Rosemont, PA- The men's soccer team faced Cairn University in a home matchup on Saturday afternoon and lost 2-1.
The first half featured a defensive battle between the two teams and neither team was able to score in the first half. Rosemont was the more aggressive team in the first half and out shot Cairn 9-7. Rosemont brought great intensity to start the second half and it was a back and forth game.
Cairn scored at the 54:07 mark to take a 1-0 lead. Rosemont would answer back at the 63:19 mark with a penalty kick goal by senior,
Josh Dawicki to tie the game at 1-1. Moments later, Cairn scored another goal at the 65:09 mark to take a 2-1 lead. Rosemont had several chances to tie the game but were unable to convert.
Cairn out shot Rosemont 13-12 for the game. Senior goalie,
Grant Gonzalez, had three saves for the Ravens.
