Rosemont, PA-  The women's soccer team took on Notre Dame of Maryland University on Thursday afternoon and won 1-0 to secure their spot in the playoffs. 

It was a gritty performance by the Ravens, having to deal with the rainfall and slippery conditions on the field. Neither team was able to score in the first half. The Ravens were the more aggressive team as they out shot the Gators 7-1 in the first half.

Coming out of the second half, Rosemont continued to dominate with shot opportunities. Senior, Emily Johnston scored a goal that was assisted by Lauren Lightcap at the 56:42 mark to give the Ravens a 1-0 lead. That was all the Ravens needed to secure the victory. Rosemont dominated both sides of the ball, and out shot Notre Dame 20-3 for the game. Maciana Mazzeo led the team with seven shots, including an impressive six shots on goal but wasn't able to score. Rosemont's defense played outstanding and didn't allow the Gators to generate any offense.
 
The Ravens finish the regular season with a 7-8-1 record, including a 4-4-1 record in conference play.
