Phoenixville, PA- The Rosemont Ravens Women's basketball team took on the Valley Forge Patriots in today's game winning the matchup with a score of 88-81.
The Ravens came out hot in the first quarter shooting over 50% from the field without hitting a single three. Although the Patriots played a better quarter in the 2nd, the Ravens went to halftime up by a score of 42-34. Not much changed in the second half with Rosemont out scoring and out rebounding Valley Forge. The Patriots made a push winning their only quarter in the game in the fourth, but ultimately fell short.Â
It was a hostile environment but Rosemont pulled through in large part to the play and leadership of senior forward
Ke'alohilani Naone-Carter. Naone-Carter finished with 35 points and 20 rebounds.
Angel Ricks and
Jayme Byers were also big contributors. Angel finished with 16 points and 6 rebounds while Jayme finished with 18 points and 5 rebounds.Â
The Ravens will be back in action on November 23rd against Lycoming College in Rosemont, PA.Â
