Rosemont, Pennsylvania- The Ravens lost their home matchup against New York University by a score of 88-73 on Sunday afternoon.
The Ravens came out hot and led 16-13 forcing New York University to take a timeout early in the half. NYU then caught fire and picked up the intensity in their zone defense. Although Rosemont grabbed more rebounds in the first half they struggled in shooting percentage, shooting 2-16 from beyond the arc and 20% from the foul line. The Ravens went into the half trailing 42-31.
In the second half Rosemont shot 5-5 from the free throw line but New York University shot 16-21. There were a lot of questionable calls against the Ravens, and NYU capitalized from the line. The Ravens lost the rebound and second chance battle in the second half.
Zaire Mitchell had 14 points and four rebounds while
Perry Belcher finished with 14 points and five rebounds.
The Ravens will be back in action at Cairn University on Wednesday December 4th.
