GWYNEDD VALLEY, Pa - Several players posted strong showings up and down the lineup as Rosemont got its women's tennis season underway with a 9-0 loss to Gwynedd Mercy University Saturday in a non-conference match in Lower Gwynedd.
The match of the day saw
Charli Fillmore push Jen Eisemann before falling by a 6-4, 4-6, 10-8 margin at the No. 4 singles spot. The doubles team of
Jesse Galvin and
Kelly Shaughnessy also pushed their doubles match at No. 3 doubles to the limit before falling 8-6 to Eisemann and Shannon Carroll.
The Ravens are back in action on Tuesday when they will host Eastern University at the Ravens Tennis Complex. Rosemont will then play two road matches against old CSAC rivals- Immaculata and Neumann- on Wednesday and Saturday.
