DOVER, Del. - It was a tough afternoon for the Rosemont softball team on Saturday as Wesley College flexed its offensive muscle with a 11-2, 12-1 doubleheader sweep of the Ravens in a non-conference contest in Delaware.
The Wolverines pounded out 23 hits in the eight innings that they came up to the plate in the double-dip.
Rosemont had six hits in the doubleheader.
Erin Gallagher knocked in two runs in Game 1 with a fifth inning single to right field that scored
Colleen Hall and
Madison Hagerty.
Taylor Carter scored on an error for the Ravens lone run in Game 2.
Rosemont (2-10) will return to action on Tuesday afternoon when they will host the University of Valley Forge in a doubleheader at the Ravens Athletic Complex. Â The doubleheader will start at 4 p.m. It will start a busy week with four doubleheaders lined up.
