ROSEMONT - The Rosemont bats came alive on Tuesday afternoon, posting 27 runs on 23 hits in just eight at-bats during a 17-0, 10-1 doubleheader sweep of the University of Valley Forge in a non-conference softball contest at the Athletic Complex.
The Ravens were lead by
Analisa Yoder, who smacked a three-run homer in the third inning of Game 1 as part of a 2 for 3, three run scored, four RBI afternoon in the sweep.
Taylor Carter went 5-for-8 with three runs scored and four RBIs on the doubleheader as well as picking up the win in Game 2.
Rosemont was also aided by
Emily Bingman, who had a double in Game 2 as part of a nine-run first inning explosion while collecting three hits on the day as well.
Christina Broccolino picked up the Game 1 win, shutting out the Patriots on just three hits allowed.
The Ravens are back in action on Wednesday at the Softball Complex when they will host Cazenovia College from New York. Friday will see a trip to Marywood to play the Pacers before a Saturday CSAC opener against Cedar Crest back on the Main Line.
