ROSEMONT - Julie Capece,
Chase Leonard and
Kelly Shaughnessy all continued their hot stretches in the singles matches. However, it wasn't enough to keep Rosemont from falling to Cairn by a 6-3 margin on Wednesday in a Colonial States Athletic Conference women's tennis match at the Ravens Tennis Complex.
Capece improved to 6-3 on the singles season with a 6-0, 6-1 win over Lauren Griffith at No. 2 singles. Leonard's record in the individuals is now 7-2 following her 6-2, 6-1 win over Maya Neal. Shaughnessy is 6-2 following a 6-1, 6-2 victory over Kara Williams.
The Ravens resume play on Monday when they have a non-conference match at home against Penn State-Brandywine.
