ROSEMONT - The Rosemont softball team struggled to piece together offense on Wednesday as Immaculata's high powered lineup generated 19 runs and 23 hits Tuesday during a 9-1, 10-2 doubleheader sweep of the Ravens at the Softball Complex.

Rosemont's lone run of the day came in the first inning of Game 1 when Samantha DeFrancisco scored on a Kaileigh Whalen groundout. DeFrancisco had three of Rosemont's nine hits between the two games of the twinbill.

Meanwhile, Kayla Sponsel, Abigail Carter, Ashley Rey and Keani Hindle all had big days at the plate for the Mighty Macs, who posted 14 hits in Game 1 and then tacked on nine hits in the nightcap.

Rosemont is back in the Colonial States Athletic Conference schedule on Thursday when they travel to Keystone College for a contest against the Giants. Game time is scheduled for 3 p.m.
