ROSEMONT - With one week left before the Colonial States Athletic Conference season, the Rosemont women tennis team is peaking at the right time.
On Senior Day, the Ravens put together a show during a 8-1 victory over Keystone in a CSAC contest that allowed them to move to 4-1 in conference with just one conference match left.
Before the game, the Ravens honored both
Charli Fillmore and
Aiyannah Eberhart - both who have been spiritual leaders for the program during this season of rebirth. After the ceremony, they went out and showed what has made this a special season with straight set wins in singles matches by Fillmore,
Chase Leonard, Julie Capece,
Jesse Galvin and
Erin Gallashaw. In the doubles matches, Fillmore/Giselle Burley, Capece/Leonard and Galvin/Gallashaw all ended up winning in convincing fashion.
Rosemont will play Cedar Crest next Tuesday afternoon in the final CSAC contest before next weekend's conference championship at the Legacy Tennis Complex (formerly known as the Arthur Ashe Tennis Center) in Philadelphia next weekend.
