LANGHORNE - For the third time this year, Rosemont softball had a glass half-filled kind of day.
After dropping the first game to Cairn by an 8-4 margin, the Ravens rallied back to pound nine hits and take advantage of five errors to win the nightcap by a 6-2 margin to split the Colonial States Athletic Conference doubleheader in Langhorne on Saturday afternoon.
Analisa Yoder had three RBIs in the doubleheader, including two in Game 2 that helped get the Ravens offense going.
Samantha DeFrancisco,
Kaileigh Whalen,
Brittney Strauss and
Madison Hagerty all had three hits on the afternoon for the Ravens, who got strong pitching in Game 2 from
Erin Gallagher and
Christina Broccolino to earn the victory.
Rosemont (8-18 overall, 1-3 CSAC) will be back in action on Friday afternoon when Wilson College makes its first appearance at the Ravens Softball Complex for a doubleheader that will start at 3 p.m. The Ravens will then spend next Saturday at Clarks Summit where they will face the Defenders in a doubleheader that starts at 1 p.m.
