ROSEMONT, PA- The Rosemont Ravens took on the Aggies of Delaware Valley University in today's matchup. The game ended in a tie, 1-1, after two overtime periods. The Ravens were very aggressive on both offense and defense. Josh Mason scored on a penalty kick with 2:37 left in the first half giving the Ravens a 1-0 lead with all the momentum going their way to start the second half.
In the second half, the aggies of Delaware Valley University started to gain more momentum. After frustration from lack of calls on both ends, Mason received a yellow card for an unsportsmanlike conduct with 22:37 left in the second half. A few minutes later the aggies were able to get on the board with a goal, which left the score at 1-1. The Ravens had multiple chances to score before regulation was over but failed to do so.
Both teams battled in the two overtime periods and the aggression was even on both ends. The Ravens were able to get more shots off in overtime than the aggies. Both Josh Dawicki and Alioune Sy had good looks, but they were not able to convert. The game ended at 1-1.
The Ravens will be back in action Saturday, September 14, in an away matchup against Saint Vincent College at 1:00pm.
