ASTON, PA- The Rosemont Women's Volleyball team lost their first matchup of the tournament against the Widener Pride with a final score of 3-0 (25-7, 25-6, 25-14). The Ravens struggled early and found it hard to come back. With their size and athleticism, the Pride turned out to be a tough opponent for the Ravens.
Abigail Brooks had six kills and
Ke'alohilani Naone-Carter had five for the Ravens.
In the second matchup of the day, the Ravens were swept by Moravian College 3-0(24-7, 25-15, 25-20). Although the Ravens were not able to win a set, they showed a lot of improvement from the first match of the day.
Ke'alohilani Naone-Carter led the Ravens with seven kills, while
Alyssa Springer added 12 assists.
Angel Ricks also had an impressive three blocks in the match.
The Ravens will be back in action tomorrow, September 21, for day two of the tournament beginning at 10:00 am against Neumann University and 12:00 pm against Messiah College.
