GWYNEDD VALLEY, PA- The Rosemont women's soccer team's three game winning streak came to an end on Tuesday night. The women's soccer team matched up against the Griffins of Gwynedd Mercy University and lost 4-1. Rosemont fought hard, but were not able to generate enough offense. Gwynedd Mercy scored their first goal at the 26:15 mark of the first half. They scored their second goal at the 34:07 mark.
The Ravens trailed 2-0 going into halftime. The Ravens played with great intensity in the second half but Gwynedd Mercy scored 2 more goals in the final 15 minutes of play. Junior
Lauren Lightcap scored a goal for the Ravens that was assisted by
Maciana Mazzeo at the 86:18 mark. Gwynedd Mercy outshot Rosemont 13-4.
Sophomore goalie,
Emma Lindsay had 6 saves for the Ravens.
Rosemont's record is now 3-4. They look to get back on track when they head the Hackettstown, New Jersey to take on Centenary University, Saturday September 28th at 3:00 pm.
