Rosemont, PA- The men's basketball team took on Keystone College at home on Saturday afternoon and won 87-83.
The first half was a back and forth battle that featured 8 lead changes. Keystone led 31-24, before
Marlon Sharpton made back to back threes to cut the lead to 31-30. Keystone led 41-38, before Rosemont went on an 8-0 run to close out the first half.
Tyler Morgan made four threes during the first half.
Both teams shot efficiently in the first half as Keystone shot 56% from the field, while Rosemont shot 57%. The Ravens shot 10-16 from three in the first half.
To start the second half
Tyler Morgan made back to back threes to give Rosemont a 52-43 lead. Rosemont led 61-49 before Keystone went on a 12-1 run to cut the deficit to 62-61. Rosemont would extend their lead to 77-68. Keystone made another run and trailed 78-76 with 2:20 left.
Chris Briner would convert an and one opportunity to give the Ravens a five point lead with 1:17 left.
Marlon Sharpton made clutch free throws to secure the win for Rosemont. The Ravens never trailed in the second half. Rosemont shot 52% from three for the game.Â
Tyler Morgan led the team with 18 points and six made threes.
Chris Briner had 17 points and 4 rebounds.
Perry Belcher had 13 points, 12 rebounds, and 7 assists.
Marlon Sharpton contributed 13 points and 8 assists for the Ravens.
The men's basketball team will take on Clarks Summit University in an away matchup on Wednesday, February 12
th at 8:00 PM.
