Ravens Blow Out Valley Forge with a 10-0 Win


Rosemont, PA-The Rosemont Men's Soccer team had an phenomenal performance Saturday against Valley Forge University, beating the competition 10-0.
 
SR Timothy Reiners made an immediate impact after being subbed into the match in the 8th minute and scoring the game winning goal in the 14th. Two minutes later, SO Kaiden Fields scores in the 16th minute, giving Rosemont a 2-0 lead early in the match.  The Ravens are awarded a penalty kick in the 32nd minute, FR Clayton Crosse steps up for the shot and buries the ball in the back of the net. One minute later, SO Matthew Pattison scores in the 33rd with the assist from Crosse. SO Shawn-Thomas McConnell sends the Ravens into halftime up 5-0 with his goal in the 42nd minute.

Rosemont broke down Valley Forge's defense as soon as the second half began, scoring in the 49th minute with Fields' second goal of the match; assisted by Crosse. In the 55th minute, Crosse scores his second goal of the match assisted by Pattison, putting the Ravens up 7-0. Three minutes later, Pattison joins Fields and Crosse in earning a brace by scoring the Ravens 8th goal with assist from Crosse. In the 67th minute, Reiners scores his second goal of the match with assist from FR Justin Olbrich. The Ravens finish the game 10-0 with the 10th goal from FR Kiven Tah, assisted by Reiners.

Rosemont had an outstanding offensive performance with 32 shots, and 8 corner kicks. The Ravens defense held strong, only allowing 3 shots and SO Goalkeeper Todd Berman recorded 2 saves for the match.
