Softball Gets Swept by Keystone

Rosemont, Pa- Rosemont softball was swept by Keystone 12-4 in game one and 8-4 in game two. 

How It Happened

    Game 1
  • First inning Gillyan Dewbrew was able to steal third with Emily Bingman up to bat for a good chance at a run. Emily Bingman sealed the run for Dewbrew by notching her first RBI of the game 
  • A double and an RBI by Keystone tied the game at 1-1 at the top of the second inning 
  • Bottom of the third the score remained tied at 1-1 
  • Heading into the bottom of the fourth, Giants were able to take a lead putting the score at 4-1
  • In the bottom of the fourth Nina Foy hit a two run homer to put the Ravens within one run at 4-3
  • After a triple from Keystone, the Ravens trailed 7-3
  • Gillyan Dewbrew kicked off the bottom of the fifth inning with a triple
  • The Ravens trailed 8-3 headed into the sixth inning
  • Game 1 ended with the Ravens losing 12-4.
    
    Game 2 
  • The end of the first inning was scoreless with the Ravens looking to recover after game one 
  • At the top of the third inning, with Emily Bingman at third and Rachel Beall up to bat, the Ravens were able to notch a run after an RBI for Beall
  • After a monster hit from Nina Foy, the Ravens took the lead 3-0
  • The Ravens kept their lead 3-0 headed into the seventh inning
  • The giants added three runs in the seventh inning to tie the game at 3-3
  • The game remained tied and went into the extra innings 
  • Keystone added 5 runs a the top of the eighth inning 
  • The game ended 8-4 in the eighth inning

  • The Ravens will travel to Hackettstown, NJ for a double header against Centenary University on Saturday, April 10th at 1:00pm.
