Head Coach
Ross Trachtenberg shared "I am extremely proud of the members of the Rosemont College Baseball team that took the field together for the first time on Saturday, February 19th. They committed to building this new program together and are such a deserving group to represent Rosemont College during this inaugural season. I know how special it was for them to put on their Ravens uniform for the first time.
Â
Freshman
Luke Franklin stepped to the plate as the first Raven batter in program history and teammate
Jamen Palladino delivered the first hit and RBI later that first inning when he knocked in Franklin for the program's first run scored. Transfer Mike Denton threw the first pitch in program history to fellow transfer and his roommate
Jake Meisel. This season will be full of exciting moments and firsts like these.
Â
The team fully appreciated the support from family members and Rosemont Community on this Opening Day as well. There was a great deal of pride in Ravens Baseball that fueled the excitement for this first game."
Â
While the result was not the outcome the team had hoped for, the team is very young, made up of 31 freshmen and 4 transfers, and we expect to see great things from this program in the future. Â
