Bryn Mawr, PA| The Girls Took on Cedar Crest on a Cold, Rainy Saturday.
How it Happened:
The game started with the rain as the girls kicked off their 2nd to last regular season game of the year. With a couple fouls to start the game, it set the pace for a physical matchup.
Sarah Warner would get the offense started for the Ravens but with a shot wide resulting in a goal kick, Cedar Crest took the ball down to their attacking zone firing two shots that were saved by
Emily Rossino. Cedar Crest broke through in the 31' taking a 1-0 lead. The girls did not give up and battled taking the ball down to their offensive zone.
Riley Dunn subbed in for
Danielle DiMarco in the 42' dashing down the field recieving a pass from Deglan McClanahan chipping a shot over the closing out goalie to tie up the game 1-1 before the half.Â
The second half was a defensive performance by both teams. Rosemont started the barrage of shots (three by
Kassidy Phillips) but the girls could not find the back of the net. In the 60' Cedar Crest had a couple opportunities but they were shit down by the Rosemont defense. It was back and forth for the rest of the game as two crucial offsides calls were made at the end of the match ending the contest 1-1.
