Rosemont, PA| Cairn Travled Down the Road to Take on Men's Soccer on the Grey in what is Always a Specatular Game.
How it Happened:
On a rainy Saturday afternoon, Cairn kicked of the match fro the center of the pitch. From the beginning of the match Rosemont had offensive looks, an open look for Sean Millelli in the 3' as he beat the closing out goalie only for the shot to ping off the woodwork out of play. This was the start of Rosemont's offensive struggles for the day as shots that usually go in for the squad were not fining the back of the net until Mathew Pattison broke through the defense scoring the first goal of the match in the 18'. As Rosemont's defense looked extremely solid in the first half, only allowing three shots total and two on target, the half ended 1-0 Rosemont. The second half did not have the same offensive pressure that Rosemont posed in the first half, they were more defensively shifted to hold the lead as Cairn out-shot Rosemont 11-5, while also doubling Rosemont's corners in the second half. Rosemont held on until the 89' where
Sean Rodriguez was call for a Yellow card with three seconds remaining in the match. This lead to a free kick by Cairn, as the kick was wide left and deflected off a Rosemont defender shooting into the bottom right corner of the goal tying the match up with 0.4' on the game clock. The final score ended 1-1.
