Bryn Mawr, PA| Nuemann traveled to Rosemont college to take on the Lady Ravens in a game that took place in Alumnae Hall.
How it Happened:
Coming on the court with a fresh starting lineup for the Raven's, Neumann won the tip and was able to score on the opening possession.
Mojisola Shokeye tied it up for the Ravens at four on back to back points to open up the quarter. Neumann's offense got hot moving into the seconds half of the first quarter, putting up 32 points in the first quarter. Rosemont would not give up nor hang their heads as they continued to battle and move the rock looking for the best shot on the offensive end. The first quarter ended 32-17. The second quarter Neumann opened up on an 8-2 run, Coach Floyd made defensive changes that sowed Neumann's offense down, but Rosemont had trouble finding the bottom of the net in the second quarter. Trailing at the half 48-25, Rosemont came out during the second half with more defensive intensity holding Neumann to only 25 points in the second half. Rosemont would win the 4th quarter but it was not enough as the knights topped the ravens 73-43. Rosemont was lead by
Mojisola Shokeye who had a double-double with 18pts and 12rebs, followed byÂ
Lakay Holloway with 11 point and
Myora Slaughter with 12 boards.Â
