Clarks Summit, PA –
Game 1:
It was an inauspicious beginning as the Ravens potent offense was uncharacteristically slow to start while the defense committed 5 errors in the first inning to spot the much improved Defenders the lead. The Defenders put 2 runs up in the first and another in the second. All-CSAC nominee, Sr.
Lauren Begg (8-8) took the ball to start for the Ravens but struggled to locate the strike-zone. Though the Ravens answered late when 3-Yr Captain, 3X All-CSAC nominee,
Analisa Yoder went deep to bring the Ravens within 4, but in the end, it proved too little too late. The Ravens drop the ball and surrender the top seed in the conference playoff picture. Ravens 4, Defenders, 8.
Game 2:
The Ravens put themselves back on track with 4 runs in the 1st. Soph, All-CSAC nominee,
Kylee Kubitschek singled, and CSAC Hits leader Lauren "Lo" Begg singled ahead of 2X All-CSAC nominee Soph.
Olivia Hamme. Hamme doubled for the 3rd time in two games, which scored Lo and Kubi. And, not to be outdone, 2-yr Captain and 3X All-CSAC nominee,
Emily Bingman took matters into her own hands by depositing the next pitch well over the left field fence scoring Liv. It was all the run support 2-yr Captain, All-CSAC nominee Sr.,
Dani Sharpe (10-5) would need as she threw her third straight complete game victory. Ravens 12, Defenders 2.
Rosemont (17-15, 11-3 CSAC) travels to Cairn (12-18, 6-8 CSAC) on Saturday, April 29 to complete regular season conference play.
