How it Happened:
From the jump, Rosemont was able to develop their outside shot and make that a focus of the Christopher Newport defense opening up other aspects of the Raven's offense. Back and forth through the first half, neither team was able to establish a lead, both teams played impact defense and forced the other side to knock down tough shots if they wanted to score. Rosemont would lead by one at the half lead by the go ahead bucket from
Denelle Holly who also lead the Ravens in scoring in this contest. The second half was all Christopher Newport as they were able to score early and often jumping out to a 10 point lead five minutes into the second half. But Rosemont would battle, bringing the game back within five points with 10 minutes remaining.
