Bryn Mawr, PA| Bryn Athyn Traveled to Rosemont College to take Place in an United East Matchup held in Alumnae Hall
How it Happened:
From the jump, Bryn Athyn brought their defensive intensity pressing out the gate. The opened up with the first six points of the game before Rosemont responded with an 11-6 run of their own to bring the game within one halfway through the first quarter. Bryn Athyn would find themselves in the passing lanes shorting Rosemont's possessions and forcing turnovers going their way. Bryn Athyn would climb to a short lead 24-15 at the end of the first quarter. The second quarter Rosemont struggled to make shots, getting unlucky bounces and struggling on the rebounding end. Bryn Athyn was able to build on their lead going into the half 49-23. Â
Coming out of the half, Rosemont had some new life as
Cassidy Smith and
Kat Baysinger were able to get some minutes and saw tremendous support from the bench and fans in the crowd. Rosemont, similar to the 2nd quarter, struggled on the offensive end. The fourth quarter, was more of the same as Bryn Athyn build on their lead, the Ravens were able to have some solid offensive possessions and gain momentum for their next game versus Keystone. Rosemont was led by
Lakay Holloway with 29 points.Â
