La Plume, PA| The Ravens Traveled to Keystone college to take on the Giants in Rosemonts final game of United East Conference Play.
How it Happened:
Starting in goal for the Ravens was Senior
Gunner Hoffman.
Rosemont would record the first sho of the game in the 8th minute as
John Waddell had a shot saved followed by
Lorenzo Jayakanthan who would have a shot blocked shortly after. The Ravens would out shoot the Giants in the first half holding offensive pressure for the majority of the half. A blocked shot for the Ravens would end the half with the score still 0-0.
The second half was a different story. Coming out of halftime with a strong game plan, the Ravens would score two goals in one minute. As Adian Anderson would find the first goal assisted by
Mason Quinton and
Justin Thomas in the 50th minute.
Justin Thomas would find the second goal for the Ravens in the 51st minute assisted by
Mason Quinton, giving the Ravens a 2-0 advantage early in the half. The Giants would respond with a goal of their own in the 59th minute of play (2-1 Ravens). Substitutions for both sides in the 60th minute would bring on fresh legs. Senior
Sean Milelli would find a solo goal off of a Keystone foul, extending the Ravens lead 3-1. Knowing they must win this game to secure a home playoff game, the Ravens added another goal in the 81st minute scored by Nicholas Lacaweic assisted by
Christopher Escalante. The Ravens would hold on to beat the Giants 4-1.
What's Next:
With Saturday's win, the ravens earn the seventh seed in the Men's Soccer standings for the United East as they will host the Lancaster Bible Chargers on Wednesday October 30th at 6pm for the first round of the United East Playoffs. Go Ravens!
