Chestertown, MD | The Rosemont Ravens Traveled to Washington College to take on the Geese in the Frank C, Russell Athletic Center.
How it Happened: Starting for the Ravens was #1 Zaki Gomez, #2 Bruce Black, #4 Larry Lane, #11 Denelle Holly, and #30 Brian Mordi.
Rosemont would lose the opening tip, drawing an offensive foul on the first possession,
Larry Lane would open up the scoring for the Ravens with a layup. Back and forth through the start of the first half,
Chris Taylor would make his impact felt early off the bench with a jumper and drive to draw a foul and get to the line. The Ravens would trail Geese 25-16 before
Larry Lane would make a three pointer going into the half bring the Ravens within two possessions and swing momentum their way.Â
Coming out hot in the second half, The Ravens would open up with scores on the first two possessions by
Larry Lane bringing the Ravens within two points of the Geese. The Ravens would trail by six (30-36) with 12:48 remaining, a team effort by the Ravens would tie up the game (43-43) as
Larry Lane made both from the foul line with 4:19 remaining. The Ravens would find the defensive stops they needed at the end of the second half holding the Geese to only five points in the final six minutes of the game.
Bruce Black and
Denelle Holly would close out the game with free throws as the Ravens capture their second win on the road (57-48).
Larry Lane would lead the Ravens with a season high 19 points.
