Bryn Mawr, PA| Keystone College Giants Traveled to Bryn Mawr to take on the Ravens in Alumnae Hall.
How it Happened: Starting for the Ravens was #2 Bruce Black, #4 Larry Lane, #11 Denelle Holly, #24 Jared Sullivan, and #33 Tyler Levins.
The Ravens would struggle early trailing 8-4 early, following a made layup and two made free throws from
Tyler Levins. The Ravens would trail by 12 with six minutes remaining in the half before Jaden Florney would make a three to cut into the Giants lead followed by layups from
Bruce Black and
Denelle Holly.
Bruce Black would slam home a breakaway dunk to bring the Ravens within five points followed by two made free throws from
Kelton Warren to bring the game within three points. The Ravens would tie up the game 31-31 with a tip-in from
Brandon Moore, but would trail by five (31-36) entering the half.
The second half
Bruce Black would get the scoring started for the Ravens with a made shot from downtown. Through the second half, the Ravens hung in, never trailing by more than eight points in the second half but were unable to capture back a lead from the Giants. The Ravens would trail by 8 points with 1:47 remaining in the contest. Working fast,
Denelle Holly would make a fastbreak layup followed by two made foul shots from
Bruce Black to bring the Ravens within five points. The Ravens being forced to foul, the Giants were unable to convert on their first attempts as
Denelle Holly would make an and-one layup to bring the Ravens within two points. Keystone would make two foul shots with two seconds remaining to take a four point lead over the Ravens.
Zaki Gomez would make a deep three with 0.5 remaining on the clock. The Ravens would foul down 1 (74-75) but their efforts were not enough as they would fall to the Giants 74-77.
Leading the way for the Ravens was
Denelle Holly with 18 points and 5 rebounds followed by
Brandon Moore with 12 points and 10 Rebounds off the bench.
