Ravens Fight Hard in Close Loss on Senior Day to University of Valley Forge

Bryn Mawr, PA| University of Valley Forge made the Short Travek to Brun Mawr to Play in a United East Matchup in Alumnae Hall.
How it Happened:
A wonderful Senior day ceremony following the Men's contest where they won, honoring the seniors from Valley Forge along with our Seniors Monay Harris, Myora Slaughter, and Alona Stanley, who will be playing in their final season for Rosemont. Alona Stanley would get the first basket as Rosemont would get out to an early lead to start their senior day. Valley Forge would change defenses halting the Ravens to two points through the first five minutes, as Valley Forge would get out to a lead. Rosemont would rally and cut Valley forged lead to four points at the end of the 1st as the quarter came to a close 14-10.
The second quater the Ravens would rally and take back the lead over the Patriots. Holding a lead by five with four minutes remaining in the half off the back of Mojisola Shokeye's jumper. Back and forth through the end of the half, Valley Forge would take the lead before Danaijah Wise would knock down 3-4 FT and Mojisola would hit a jumper tying the game at 26 going into the half.
The third quarter was a showing of defense for both side as it was the lowest scoring quarter combined. Rosemont would get out to a good start in the half but their scoring slowed down as Valley Forge took a five point lead at the end of the third leading to the fourth quarter. The fourth, the Ravens would quickly cut the lead to two points at the start of the quarter an then find themselves down two with just under five minutes remaining. The girls would leave it all on the floor as they scratched and clawed through thi game but fell short as the final score was in Valley Forge favor 60-49. Rosemont was led by Mojisola Shokeye with 17 points and Lakay Holloway with 10 points.
What's Next:
The girls will play their final two games of the season, they play Saint Elizabeth on the road, this Monday the 12th at 7pm. And a double header for the Men and Women versus Saint Elizabeth with the Men's game first at 6pm followed by the Women's game at 8pm.
