Bryn Mawr, PA| Cairn Took The Short Drive Over to Rosemont to Play the Ravens in a United East Matchup in Alumnae Hall.
How it Happened:
Rosemont got off to a slow start as Cairn mounted a short lead in the early minutes of the game winning the race to ten and leading the Ravens by seven. Rosemont would respond with a run of their own, sparked by a big dunk from
Brian Mordi off the dime from
Bruce Black that got the Ravens jumping. Taking back the lead from Cairn as they went on a 10-0 run to take the lead 15-13. The Ravens would continue to play tough defense as Cairn did not have a response, Rosemont went on another run leading the highlanders 29-18 with 8 minutes remaining in the first half. Wilson would go on a run of their own to take the lead going into the half 31-29.
Coming out of the half Rosemont would struggle to get their offense going again. As the Highlanders went up double digits 46-34, Rosemont battled and kept their heads up as they brought themselves right back in the game. After being down twelve with 8 minutes remaining, Rosemont would tie the game 60-60 with just under four minutes remaining. Back and forth down the stretch,
Zaki Gomez would take the lead for the Ravens 68-67 with 1:18 remaining. Cairn would take the lead on the next possesion as Rosemont with 2 chances to win it were unable to get the job done.Â
Leading the way for the Ravens was
