Rosemont, PA| Rosemont Women's Volleyball Hosted Penn State Lehigh Valley in Their Home Opener.
How it Happened:
Rosemont would jump out to an early lead as they would open up the first set with a 15-4 run to jump out to a 20-7 lead. Kills by
Pearl Smith along with assists from
Fiona Hyland were keys to this run. Rosemont would capitalize and win the set taking a 1-0 advantage over the Nittany Lions.
The Ravens would battle as they would lead in the second set early 8-6 after a solo block by
Pearl Smith. Kills from
Madeline McCarthy and
Bailee Greise would keep the Ravens in the set but the Nittany Lions would tie up the match 1-1.Â
The third set the Ravens would open up to a 5-1 with a kill by
Jana Ehnot. The Nittany Lions would go on a run that would give them a large lead in the set. Rosemont refused to give up as they would fight until the end of th set falling 2-1.
The fourth set Rosemont would open up to a dominating 9-2 run to open up the set, Lehigh Valley would answer taking a 11-9 lead. Back and fourth as The Ravens would tie the match at 14 and 17 points. With key service aces by
Madeline McCarthy and
Pearl Smith would bring the Ravens within one at 22-23. The Ravens would fall to the Nittany Lions 3-1.

The Ravens will travel to Gwynedd Mercy University to compete against the Griffins at 6pm on Thursday 9/12.
