Rosemont, PA| Rosemont Women's Soccer Kicked off Their Season Versus Alfred State this past Saturday August 31st.\
How it Happened:
A back and forth game to start the season with a couple of chance for Rosemont to get on the scoreboard early but were unable to work in their corner opportunities. Alfred State would score at thye 22 minute mare to take a 1-0 lead over the Ravens. The girls did not give up as they fought hard through the first half,
Cassidy Smith would have a couple of shots later in the second half saved by the Alfred State defense, Keeping the score at 1-0 in favor of the visitors.Â
The second half Rosemont would come out hot maintaining possession having two corner opportunities along with a shot off the Woodwork by
Sarah Warner. The Ravens were unable to find the back of the net as Alfred State scored on a breakaway goal to take a 2-0 advantage in the 62'. Rosemont would only have a few more shots in the game as Alfred State held onto their 2-0 advantage as the ravens fall in their first game of the year.
